Effective August 1, 2006 ... The USAR Membership fee increased to $35/year; junior memberships remained unchanged at $20.

New Weekend Membership ... A new "event membership" (valid for one weekend only) will be offered for $15, allowing players to compete in a single sanctioned event (including secondary accident insurance), have their results applied to rankings and receive one magazine. This short-term sign-up may be upgraded within 90 days with additional payment of the $20 balance for full membership, which is retroactive to date of sign-up.

This new membership option was created for many reasons but mainly to invite the recreational club player on the cusp of “competitive” play to join in for a weekend tournament. The option will be made available to anyone who has never been a member, or any player whose membership has lapsed. Find details in the May/June issue of Racquetball Magazine (pgs. 5 and 39).
